Legally Pink and Blonde

For those who don’t know what my full time job is, I am a lawyer.

Yes, a real lawyer. One that gives legal advice and goes to court. That kind of lawyer.

Not everyone has believed that I am a “real lawyer”. I think it’s because I have a positive and bubbly personality, and I love all things pink and girlie. I suppose that I don’t fit the standard “lawyer” persona.

Sign of the Times

I know it’s been a long time since I have posted – boy oh boy have I been busy!

I have been super caught up in work, trying to find a job as a solicitor, finishing my Masters in Legal Practice, organising travel over the next few months and trying to stay in touch with everyone! I also (finally) rejoined the gym and I’m trying to get my finances in order.

Mystic Rose in Autumn Leaves

I love wearing modern clothes that have a vintage feel to them. One brand I love to wear that has a vintage feel to it is Review Australia.

I started buying clothes from Review only a short while ago – partly because I couldn't afford it until recently, and also because I didn't realise the clothes were great quality, fit well and are beautiful stylish.

Sweet Dusty Rose

Sometimes you buy a clothing item that you just fall in love with. It suits you, your style and you can wear it to many different occasions.

Maybe its your favourite pair of jeans. Or a blazer that always makes you feel like a boss lady. Whatever it is, everyone should have something in their wardrobe that they love and makes them feel amazing.

How to Make a Flower Crown

Flower crowns or flower headbands are so popular right now, and they are so fabulous for many occasions. I’ve seen them at festivals, at weddings, the races, and just on a normal day.

I made two to wear to Future Music Festival. I decided to go with the large red rose design on the day, because it seemed to suit my crazy crimped hair. But after a few too many drinks, and a bit of crazy dancing, the flower crown left my head to be passed around my group of friends. Eventually it ended up on the ground in a muddy and dishevelled mess. Good thing it only cost me a couple of dollars to make!

Autumn Retro Ride

Some girls love wearing dresses or skirts, while others prefer pants and shorts. I’m definitely more of a dress and skirt girl. You can probably tell that from my previous outfit posts – it’s actually rare that you see me in jeans or shorts!

But when it cools down, I do resort to pants as it keeps me warm. During autumn and spring I like to wear cropped pants. I love cropped pants because they have the retro and vintage feel to them. Add a button down blouse and a neck scarf and you have an effortless vintage look, just like my recent outfit during autumn.

Daisies and Denim in the Yarra Valley

A few weeks ago I visited the beautiful Yarra Valley with my man. We had a lovely time drinking wine, eating food and relaxing in the picturesque valley. One of my favourite things to do when travelling is to try delicious food and wine, so we definitely were in the right place!

When you are travelling it can be hard to decide what to wear – what will the weather be like? Will the weather change quickly? Is this appropriate for my activities? Will this pack well? Does it go with everything? Have I packed too much?

Stylebook: Your Ultimate Wardrobe Organisation App

img_3850

Clueless is one of my favourite 90’s movies. In particular I loved Cher’s style, wardrobe and her futuristic outfit generator technology. Considering the movie was over 20 years ago, and considering how far we’ve come with technology, you would have thought that there would be something like this available for us in the present day…

Well we are in luck – there is an app called Stylebook which is bringing that dream to life!

Summer Days & Cool Breeze

IMG_3918

It’s been a scorcher of a summer in Australia this year. Apparently January 2017 was one of the hottest January’s on record with plenty of days over 35 degrees. Sometimes it’s hard to stay fashionable when it’s so hot outside…

My go to summer outfit is definitely a playsuit. You get the comfortable practicality of shorts plus there are plenty of different styles out there. So when I saw this beautiful nautical playsuit at Review, I knew I just had to have it! It’s called “Cool Breeze” and it’s been a constant outfit I’ve worn this summer.
