It seems that affordable and vintage are mutually exclusive… I’ve been searching for pretty vintage finds for a while, but often I have to settle with vintage inspired clothing.
Then I remembered that the somewhat vintage itself store of Landspeed Records stocks some excellent threats. There’s a great selection of clothing at the back of the store, with both affordable vintage and vintage inspired clothing. So it seems that there is something for all tastes in this section.
I came across a vintage dress that I knew I must have. It looked so pretty with the light fabric, white polka dots, puffy long sleeves and delicate layers. I knew it was perfectly my style, but being vintage, it was the only size there. Lucky for me it fit PERFECTLY! But unlucky for me I still had a week before pay day…
So I decided to make that risky move of waiting until pay day. I crossed my fingers, and toes and anything that could be crossed, and hoped that it would be there the following week.
And I was in luck! It definitely made my day seeing it there on the rack! I grabbed it and couldn’t wait to wear it!
I was able to wear it almost straight away – I had a high tea coming up that weekend and I thought it was perfect for that! It goes so nicely with my high waisted belt and wedges. Pretty sure this is my new favourite outfit!
