Dressing Spiffy with St.Frock

I am absolutely in love with this online store I recently found: stfrock.com.au. It’s a great store with quality prices at very reasonable prices. Their customer service is also fantastic and I highly recommend them.

I bought this beautiful maxi dress just before Christmas, but I have been trying to figure out when to actually wear it! It is a little long for me so I have to wear heels with it otherwise it drags on the ground. Plus I’m too lazy busy to get it hemmed up by a tailor.

So it is great for a special event, except I’m in a wedding/engagement drought right now so there’s no special events to wear a pretty dress to…

And then I remembered that I had my friends 21st birthday party to attend! I hadn’t been to a 21st in many years (am I showing my age here?) and from memory, most 21st parties that I went to were a costume party, so it was nice to have a party at a house which could be classy.

On the invitation we were asked to dress “spiffy” so here is my version of “spiffy” aka casually dressed up:

After looking at these pictures, I realised that I forgot to include my bag in my poses! Whoops!

The great thing about this dress is that I can turn it into a shorter wrap dress – stay tuned for my post on how to turn a maxi dress into a wrap dress.
